Kayla is the most compassionate person I know. She always goes out of her way to help, support, and accommodate others.

I’m privileged to call her my business partner.

But far more privileged to call her my stepdaughter.

In addition to being compassionate, she’s also very receptive.

For example, instead of my unsolicited nutrition, exercise, and general lifestyle guidance making her run in the opposite direction, it helped inspire her to earn a bachelor’s degree in Fitness Development and become a personal trainer.

It was no surprise how quickly she developed a following of clients who loved her.

But there’s an ironic twist here. While completing her Fitness Development degree, she “forgot” much of what she learned at home. She went all-in on college life, and bought into the typical more-is-better calorie-chasing mentality in her attempt to offset it.

She eventually hit a low point. Headaches, digestive issues, skin breakouts, and depression became her new normal. And she was upset about how her body had changed.

After accepting that she was burning the candle at both ends, and that there weren’t any shortcuts to get her out of it, she committed to doing the right things – not just to lose the extra weight she was unhappy about, but more importantly, to feel better.

No more punishing workouts, no more herbal concoctions to accelerate metabolism. Just basic, foundational habits done better.

And that’s the basis for the coaching business, Fitfilled, that we now run together – foundational habits, done better and more sustainably, to help you live a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life.

Coach Kayla has the compassion and dedication to make you feel supported and earn your trust.

She’s lived through many of the challenges you’ve probably faced with nutrition, exercise, and general wellness. And she knows firsthand how to turn them into success.

I’m just the science geek behind the scenes who formulates the science-guided principles that we teach and figures out solutions for advanced client situations. (And, of course, I share my nerdy insights with you each week through our Wellness with Purpose newsletter.)
