Are you making wellness and weight loss harder than they need to be?
to you

During the early days of COVID, I was thrown head-first into a massive research effort to stay on top of anything and everything emerging about the pandemic.
What I was being directed to research was changing every few hours. Despite 12+ hours per day of frenzied searching and reading, I felt like I wasn’t learning anything. It was like I was spinning my wheels as fast as I could, but getting nowhere in the process.
It was frustrating … and exhausting.
Now that I’m my own boss, I’m safe from anyone pushing me into that kind of frenzied lack of focus. And I couldn’t be happier about it!
But since I’ve gained that freedom, thanks to committing full-time to Fitfilled with Coach Kayla, we’ve seen many people push themselves into a similar state of frenzy with their attempts to lose weight.
Think of all the distractions you’ve probably been tempted by at some point …
💊 Supplements that “boost your metabolism”
🔥 Extreme exercise programs that “melt fat”
🍴 Fad diets and nutrition hacks that appear to defy the laws of physics
⚠️ Detox protocols to shed the toxins supposedly preventing you from losing weight
🧊 Ice baths to generate brown fat and burn more calories
🚰 Drinking gallons of cold water … because cold water burns more calories (and carrying a huge water jug around the gym is super cool)
The list goes on and on.
Some of these approaches have more merit than others, but what they all have in common is that NONE of them are fundamental to losing weight or promoting health.
Doing all of these things might make you feel smart and productive because you’re tackling the problem from multiple angles. But just like my frenzied COVID research, you’ll likely end up exhausted from spinning your wheels, and frustrated from not having much to show for it.
In contrast, here’s a smarter approach … one that will not only give you more potential for better results, but also more potential to keep those results:
Focus intently on just the few things that are most important for losing weight, feeling great in the process, and keeping it that way.
Do them well, and do them consistently.
That is a SMART approach to weight loss (and many other health and non-health related pursuits)! Don’t worry about those other distractions until you’re in a groove and seeing results that you know you can maintain.
The catch is that those few things you focus on need to be the right things.
